The driving test itself is around 40 minutes long and will include various manoeuvres to be executed by the student under the supervision of an official examiner. It will also include as many various types of road (road situations) as possible within the constraints of the area, taking in different speed limits and conditions. It will begin with a licence check, then an eye site test (if this is failed the test will be stopped). You will then be asked some basic maintenance questionsafter which you will go out onto the road to show the examiner your ability to control the car and that you can deal with whatever situation develops SAFELY. There are 6 possible manoeuvres of which you will be asked to do 3 during your test. :- 1. The Reverse Park - Parking Parallel to the kerb within 2 car spaces 2. The Turn in the Road - Turning the car around safely to face the other direction. 3. Bay Park - To park the car within the confines of a bay (car park). 4. Right/left Reverse around a corner safely and under control. 5. Emergency Stop - Self Explanatory. 6, The Hill Start - (again self explanatory). The cost of the driving test is currently
